Register for informative workshops/Classes

You are never too old to learn.  At Yearning for Learning, various classes will be offered throughout the year, both in-person (NYC/Monmouth County, NJ area) and online for adult learners.  Classes will include; Fundamentals of Reading, Everyday Math, Job Skills, Cooking/Nutrition, and Social Skills.  All classes run for 6-weeks.   Registration details coming soon!

Parent workshops will be offered four times throughout the year both in-person (NYC/Monmouth County, NJ area) and online.  Topics will be based on parent requests.  Parents will leave each workshop feeling empowered and ready to implement new strategies that will best support their child(ren)- of all ages and abilities. It's all about raising the bar! Workshops will be offered throughout the year for educators and/or agency staff that include the following topics;

1.  Walk/Wheel a mile in my shoes

2.Understanding the whole person

3. Best practices for managing behaviors

4. Communication is key

You will leave this comprehensive workshop feeling empowered and ready to implement new strategies immediately,  feeling confident as an educator or staff who supports people with disabilities.  Workshops will be 4 hours long, covering all topics listed above.  If you want to schedule a workshop at your site, please contact us.
